Hand the setup to your own AI assistant

A pre-approval lands in your inbox at 4:40 on a Friday. Everything the file needs is already in the message — the borrower's name, their email, the loan amount, the rate you quoted, the term you talked about. And you are the part that retypes it into LendrTech.

You don't have to be that part anymore. LendrTech now connects to the AI assistant you already use — Claude, or any assistant that speaks the Model Context Protocol, the open standard for connecting assistants to tools — so it can work inside your LendrTech account on your behalf. You ask in plain words. It builds the file. You open the links it hands back and check them.

What it looks like on a Friday afternoon

You forward the pre-approval to your assistant and say something like:

Read this and set the borrower up in LendrTech — create the client, build a purchase fee sheet from these numbers, and put together a comparison report against the second option we discussed.

Your assistant creates the client, builds the fee sheet, and assembles the report — in your account, under your branding, exactly as if you'd done it yourself in the app. Every single thing it creates or changes comes back with a link straight into LendrTech, so checking its work is a click, not a hunt. That link is the point. The assistant does the typing; you still do the reading.

The other half of the appeal is where your assistant already lives. It can see your inbox, your notes, your CRM, the rate sheet a lender sent you this morning. LendrTech becomes one more thing it can reach, which means the trip from "a lender emailed me a quote" to "there's a report ready to review" stops running through your keyboard.

What your assistant can do

It can create and update your clients, build purchase and refinance fee sheets, start one from a saved template, and assemble purchase, refinance and single-loan reports. It can list and read what's already in your account, too — so "which of Jane's fee sheets has the 30-year on it?" is a question you can just ask.

It also arrives knowing how to behave. LendrTech hands your assistant a short set of working rules the moment it connects: present results as a readable table rather than a wall of code, always give you the link to verify, and never state a rate, an APR, a mortgage-insurance figure or a payment it didn't get back from LendrTech itself. If a number isn't in front of it, it says so instead of estimating — which is the rule that matters most when a figure might end up in front of a borrower.

What it can't do — which is the part worth reading

Handing an assistant the keys to your client file only works if the keys don't open everything. Three doors stay shut, on purpose:

  • It can't delete anything. Not a client, not a fee sheet, not a template, not a report. Deleting is something you do in LendrTech, deliberately.
  • It can't email a borrower. Ask it to send a report and it hands you back the page to review and send from — it doesn't send. Every borrower-facing email still leaves from inside LendrTech, after you've read it.
  • It can't change a client's email address. A quietly rewritten borrower address is the one edit worth confirming in person, so that change happens on the client's page in LendrTech.

The rest is ordinary building work — the parts of the job where the worst case is a fee sheet you have to fix, not an email you can't unsend.

Connecting is a one-time thing

Setup lives on the Connections tab in your account settings, and you do it once per device or app. From then on your assistant simply has LendrTech available, the way it has your other tools. If you ever want it gone, revoke the connection on that same tab and access stops immediately.

Agent access is a Max feature, and LendrTech checks your plan on every single request rather than at connection time — so it follows your plan the moment your plan changes. The step-by-step is in connect your AI agent.

Two things worth knowing about what this costs you. Your assistant brings its own AI, and that's where the thinking happens — so working this way doesn't draw on your LendrTech AI assistance, however much you ask it to do in a sitting. And what it builds counts toward your plan's saved fee sheet and report limits exactly as if you'd built it by hand, because it's the same content in the same account. Current plan details are on the pricing page.

The shape of the workflow it changes

Nothing about the report itself changes. The fee sheet your assistant builds is a normal fee sheet — you can open it, fix a line item, save it, and pull it into a report next week. The report it assembles is a normal report, which means it goes to your borrower the same way everything else does: through the report builder, with your review in the middle, and by email or a link you send yourself.

What changes is which end of the day the typing happens at. The file gets built while you're still reading the email that prompted it, and what's waiting for you is something to check rather than something to start.
