Write your email with AI

On the Max plan, let AI write the whole borrower email from the report you just built — you tell it what matters, and you edit every word before it sends.

Inside the email composer, the Max plan adds an AI writer for the message itself. It reads the report your client is about to receive and writes the email that goes with it — and you review and edit before anything sends.

✨ Generate: the whole email, from your report

Click Generate above the Message box and the compose side turns into a short setup panel. Your preview stays where it is on the right.

1. Pick what to include. Every report link and every chart on this report is a chip — tick the ones you want in the email. Whatever you pick gets placed in the message, and the AI can describe it in your own words instead of dropping it in cold. Your existing choices are pre-ticked, so if the message already carried the Static report link and a chart, they stay picked.

2. Say what matters. The box under What should this email say? is optional and it is the most useful thing on the panel. It is not a subject or an outline — it is what you'd tell a colleague before they wrote the email for you:

  • "They're nervous about the cash they need at closing."
  • "First-time buyers — keep it plain, no jargon."
  • "Be less formal with these two, and make a joke at the end."
  • "Push option B and say why."

Whatever you write here outranks everything else, so it genuinely changes what comes back. The chips above the box (First quote, Updated numbers, Comparing options, Following up, Ready to move) add a ready-made starting instruction to whatever you've already typed, which you can then edit. Only the AI ever sees this box — your client never does.

3. Generate. Give it a moment — it reads the whole report before it writes, and the panel tells you where it's up to. Changed your mind mid-run? The button beside it becomes Stop, which backs out and leaves your message exactly as it was. When the message lands you get Accept, Deny and Refine above the box: Deny puts back exactly what was there before, and Refine reopens the panel with your last instructions and picks still filled in, so "same thing but warmer, and drop the cash-to-close chart" is a two-second edit.

Leave the instruction box empty and it still writes a full email from the report alone — that's the fastest way to see what it does. On a blank message the Static report link starts ticked, so the email you get always carries a way for your client to open the full analysis.

It writes with your real numbers

This is the one place in LendrTech where AI writes figures your borrower will read. It is given exactly what's on the report you built — the same labels and values your client sees, including the rows you chose to include — so it can point out what a payment difference actually means, what closing day really costs, and which option fits which priority.

That makes the last step yours: read the numbers in the email before you press Send. Nothing goes out until you do.

What it never touches

Generate writes the message body and nothing else. Your subject, greeting and signature are left exactly as you set them, and a saved template's subject survives. If the Message box has writing of your own in it, Generate asks before replacing it — and it never empties the box until the new message has actually arrived, so a hiccup can't lose your draft.

Fixing and polishing what's there

Already have a message? Two ways to improve it:

  • Fix and Polish above the Message box work on the whole thing — spelling and grammar, or flow and tone.
  • Select any text to bring up a small toolbar — Fix, Polish, or Custom… for your own instruction — and only that part is rewritten. Custom… is the flexible one: "make this shorter but keep the part about closing costs", "explain how much more option B needs at closing", "say this the way I'd say it out loud."

Every edit gives you an undo, and none of them can lose a link or a chart: whatever you had included is still included afterward. If the AI dropped one and we put it back, you'll see a short note telling you so.

To remove a link or a chart from the message you have, untick it in the Insert link / Insert chart menus under the message box (or delete the placeholder yourself). Asking the AI in words won't do it, on purpose: the tick box is the one control that keeps the message and the menus agreeing with each other.

Your monthly AI assistance

Writing and editing with AI draws on AI assistance — one monthly pool shared with the other places AI writes or builds for you in LendrTech. It sits as a slim bar along the foot of the Generate panel, and in full on the AI assistance card under Settings → Billing. It refills at the start of each month.

If you use it all, Generate, Fix and Polish pause where they are and tell you when they're back. The composer itself is untouched: templates, typing, links, charts, the preview and Send all work exactly as they always do — you just write the message yourself. That's a different thing from the lock you'd see on a plan without AI writing; this one comes back on its own.

AI email writing is part of the Max plan — see plans and billing. On other plans the composer works exactly the same, minus the AI assist.
