Fee Sheet templates
Save a reusable fee sheet skeleton once, then start new client fee sheets from it in one click.
If your loans tend to carry the same fee stack — the same underwriting fee, appraisal, title charges, and recording fees, quote after quote — you don't need to retype them for every client. A template is a saved fee sheet that isn't attached to any client. Start a new fee sheet from it, and the numbers are already filled in; you just adjust what's different about this loan.
Create a template
- Open Templates in the sidebar.
- Click New template.
- Fill in the fee sheet form — it's the same form you use for a regular fee sheet, so you can enter loan details, closing costs, prepaids, and any additional line items. Fill in only the fields that stay the same across your loans; leave the deal-specific ones blank.
- Click Save.
Templates carry their own loan type, so it's worth keeping separate templates for purchase and refinance scenarios if you quote both.
A template holds the fee structure and nothing about a particular borrower. Your line items and their amounts, escrow month counts, loan type and term are all kept. Loan amounts, purchase price or payoff, property value, LTV, APR, credits and buydowns are not — so a template can never seed a new client's fee sheet with a previous client's figures, however it was created.
The Templates list
The Templates page lists every template you've saved, newest edits first. For each one you'll see:
- Name — click it to open the template for editing.
- Fields — how many cost fields are filled in, so you can tell your fully-built lender template from a quick skeleton at a glance.
- Last edited — when you last saved it.
To remove a template, click Delete on its row and confirm with Delete template. Deleting a template never touches the fee sheets you've already created from it — they're independent copies.
Edit a template
Click a template's name in the list to open it. Make your changes and click Save. Edits apply only to the template itself and to fee sheets you start from it afterward — existing client fee sheets keep the numbers they were created with.
This makes templates a good place to keep current pricing: when your lender updates a fee, change it once in the template and every future fee sheet picks it up.
Start a client fee sheet from a template
- Open Clients and go to the client's page — see managing clients if they're not in LendrTech yet.
- Click New fee sheet, then choose Use template in the dialog (the other options are manual entry and importing a fee sheet PDF). Use template appears once you've saved at least one template.
- The dialog turns into a template picker listing your saved templates with their loan type. Pick the one you want (or use Back to return to the other start options).
- The fee sheet form opens pre-filled with the template's values — adjust the loan amount, rate, and anything else specific to this deal, then click Save.
The result is a brand-new fee sheet on that client's page, ready to use in a purchase, refinance, or single-loan report. The template itself is untouched.
Templates and your plan
Each plan includes an allowance of saved templates (Unlimited on Max), and fee sheets you start from a template count toward your saved fee sheet allowance like any other. Deleting a template or fee sheet you no longer need frees up a slot right away. See plans and billing or the pricing page for what your plan includes.
