Your account and security

Where your profile, company details and password live — plus what LendrTech stores about you and your borrowers, and how it's protected.

Most days you never think about your account. Then you change firms, or your NMLS ID needs updating before a report goes out, or you're setting up a new laptop and can't remember which password you used. This page is the map for all of that — everything about the account that isn't billing.

Where it all lives

Open Settings at the bottom of the sidebar. The page is split into tabs, and each one owns a different part of your account:

  • Profile — you as a loan officer: name, email, phone, LO NMLS ID, and your photo. Also where the Log out button lives.
  • Company — your company name, company NMLS ID, and logo.
  • Security — changing your password.
  • Billing — your plan, your usage meters, and payment. Covered in plans and billing and usage and limits.

Profile and Company are the two that reach your borrower — everything on them is printed on the reports you send, which is why setting up your branding walks through them field by field. Click Save changes when you're done; your profile and company details save together.

Every field is optional, and anything left blank simply doesn't appear on a report. Photos and logos are PNG or JPG, up to 2.5 MB, dragged onto the upload area or clicked to browse.

One thing to know about your email

The Email field on the Profile tab is your contact address — it's what borrowers see on reports and where LendrTech copies you on every report you send. It is not the address you sign in with. Changing it here won't change your sign-in, so if you need to move the whole account to a new address, email team@lendrtech.com and we'll handle it.

Changing your password

On the Security tab, click Change password. You'll land on Set a new password: enter your current password, then the new one twice, and save. LendrTech confirms the change and drops you back into the app, still signed in.

Asking for the current password is the point. It means someone who wanders up to an unlocked laptop can't quietly take the account away from you — they'd need the password you already have, not just the session in front of them.

Locked out instead? Don't go looking for this screen — you can't reach it without signing in. Use Forgot password? on the sign-in page. Enter your email and LendrTech sends you a working password so you can get back in. Sign in with it, then come straight back to SettingsSecurity and set a password of your own choosing.

Verifying your email address

A new account isn't active until its email is verified. Sign up and LendrTech sends a verification link and shows a Check your email screen; click the link, confirm, and you're in.

Three things go wrong here, and all three are self-serve:

  • Nothing arrived. Check spam first, then use Resend verification email.
  • The link expired. Verification links are good for 24 hours. An expired one gives you a form to request a fresh one on the spot.
  • You mistyped your address. The Check your email screen carries an Update email and resend form. Fix the address there rather than starting the signup over.

If you try to sign in before verifying, the sign-in page says so and offers the resend button right there.

Signing out

Log out sits in the top-right corner of the Profile card on the Settings page. Worth doing on any machine that isn't yours: your LendrTech session reaches every client record and every report you've built.

What LendrTech stores, and how it's protected

Two kinds of information live in your account: yours, and your borrowers'.

  • Sensitive fields are encrypted at rest. That includes your clients' names, addresses and phone numbers, and your own phone number, company and NMLS details.
  • We never store card details. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe; LendrTech never sees or keeps a card number. See plans and billing.
  • Report links are unguessable. A report you share carries a random code that isn't your client's name or record number, and nothing in the link gives away who they are. It also means the link works for whoever holds it, so send it only to your client — sharing reports with borrowers has the details.
  • Your data is yours. Clients, fee sheets and reports belong to your account and aren't visible to other loan officers.

The full detail — what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to exercise your rights — is in the privacy policy. Questions it doesn't answer go to team@lendrtech.com.
