Search and shortcuts

Find any client, fee sheet, report or template — and start the next one — without leaving the keyboard, plus how to replay the walkthrough and send feedback.

A borrower calls while you're mid-report. You need their file, now, and the route is four clicks and a scroll through a list that's grown all year. Press ⌘K instead, type three letters of their name, hit Enter. That's the whole feature, and it works from every screen in LendrTech.

Opening it

⌘K on a Mac, Ctrl+K on Windows, from anywhere in the app. Prefer the mouse? The Search… button at the top of the sidebar opens the same thing.

Three keys run it once it's open, and they're printed along the bottom: ↑↓ to move, to open what's highlighted, esc to close. You can click a result too.

What it finds

Start typing and the palette matches across everything you've saved:

  • Clients — by name, and by address.
  • Fee sheets — by name, with the client's name beside them (a refinance fee sheet is marked so you can tell two similarly named sheets apart).
  • Reports — by client and title, labelled Purchase, Refinance or Single report.
  • Templates — by name.

Matching is on every word you type, in any order, against both the result and the small grey label beside it — which is more useful than it sounds. Typing refi brings back refinance fee sheets and refinance reports. Typing a client's surname and report narrows to their reports alone.

The palette only ever searches your own work — it's tied to your login, so a colleague's clients never appear in it.

Open it and type nothing and you get your six most recent clients, fee sheets and reports, plus a few quick actions — the shortcut for "the thing I was just in".

The actions it can run

Below the results — or by typing part of their name — sit the actions:

Action What it does
New client Opens Clients to add someone.
New fee sheet Starts a fee sheet.
New template Starts a template.
Generate report Opens a client's page to pick the report type.
Import Loan Estimate PDF Opens PDF import.
Run walkthrough Replays the guided tour of the app.
Send feedback Opens the feedback box.
Log out Signs you out.

The three that need a borrower ask for one first: the box switches to Pick a client…, you pick, and you land in the right place with the right dialog already open. Report type is asked on the client's page rather than here, because it's fixed once the report is saved.

There's a Go to entry for each main screen too — Home, Clients, Fee Sheets, Reports, Templates and Settings.

One thing worth knowing: the palette loads your list when the page loads. If you create a client in a second tab, refresh before expecting to find them in the first one.

Replaying the walkthrough

The first time you sign in, LendrTech offers a short tour — Show me around takes it, Skip for now dismisses it, and either way it doesn't ask again.

You can run it whenever you like: ⌘KRun walkthrough. It's a cross-page tour, stepping through Home, Clients, Fee Sheets, Reports, Templates and Settings, pointing at the real thing on each screen rather than describing it. Navigating somewhere yourself ends the tour — it's a guide, not a cage.

Three screens also have their own short walkthrough, in the top bar: the report builder, the Templates page, and the PDF import screen. On the Templates page it's a Walkthrough button; on the other two it's a small ? icon in the same place. New to LendrTech altogether? Getting started is the five-minute version in writing.

Send feedback

At the bottom of the sidebar, Send feedback opens a box for whatever you've hit — a bug, a rate that isn't formatting the way you expect, a feature you keep wishing existed. The same thing is in the palette, so you can send it without breaking stride.

The page you were on is sent along with your message, which saves the usual round of "where were you when it happened?". If you'd rather write a proper email, team@lendrtech.com reaches the same people.
